ARCHITECTURAL CONCEPT
The black-box concept
The architect envisioned a modern black box: a pared-back interior with dark walls and Exposed Ceiling Architecture, allowing the geometry and colours of handmade Iranian rugs to take centre stage like paintings.
AUDIO ENGINEERING RESPONSE
Discreetly integrated into the ceiling
The audio design followed the architect’s approach to concealment and formal simplicity. Matte-black Ecler UC106 pendant transducers were positioned within the seven-metre-high Exposed Ceiling Architecture, blending into its dark structure. Their suspension height was aligned with the lighting tracks to bring clear sound to visitors as they move through the gallery.
Low-frequency depth, discreetly delivered
A professional 10-inch COMMUNITY subwoofer was concealed within the space, adding warmth and low-frequency depth to Iranian music without adding visible equipment to the interior.

Where art and technology meet
Veek demonstrates that professional audio can be heard without drawing attention to its hardware. By following the black-box concept, the integration supports a calm, focused setting where the textures of Iranian rugs and music can be experienced together.
