Installation took place in an operating factory with 18 distinct areas, from offices, a showroom and dining spaces to stock warehouses and the main production hall. The main hall’s ceiling reached 22 metres, and measurements at planned transducer positions recorded machinery noise reaching 112 dB. Providing clear sound under these conditions, alongside an initial cabling estimate of approximately 7,000 metres and the constraints of working around production lines, defined the challenge.

Commercial & Industrial Complexes
Six months of engineering in a working factory
The scale of Depoint Factory and the variety of its spaces presented a demanding engineering brief from the outset. Gol Asaye Sarma needed one system for paging, crisis announcements and quality background music across three working shifts. Approximately six months of continuous work brought together Ecler equipment, Dante audio transport, central control and custom Persian operating panels.
The solution began with site surveys and transducer-placement simulations. Revised cable routes and mounting supports built with the facilities team enabled equipment placement suited to each space. Central processing managed 28 audio zones and 24-zone paging. Dante carried audio between compatible network devices, while Persian panels simplified day-to-day operation.
THE SITE
Height. Noise. Production in motion.
A 22-metre hall and noise measured up to 112 dB at planned transducer locations shaped the design.

NETWORKED AUDIO EXPERTISE
Dante: networked audio at factory scale
At Depoint Factory, distances between spaces, varied uses and the need for centralised management made audio transport and distribution a key design decision. Dante enabled digital audio transport between compatible devices over the network, connecting different parts of the complex within one integrated architecture.
Delivering such a system goes beyond connecting equipment with network cables. Connection design, audio-channel routing, clock synchronisation and latency settings, network configuration and performance testing require specialist knowledge of both audio and networking. In this project, that expertise worked alongside central Ecler processing and custom Persian panels to make factory-wide audio operation straightforward and unified.
Depoint demonstrates AVASH’s practical experience in designing, configuring and commissioning networked audio systems for large industrial environments.

Why these choices mattered
Shorter, lower-risk routes
Cabling alongside active production lines required practical, lower-risk routes. Reviewing routes and selecting suitable shortcuts reduced analogue cabling from an initial estimate of approximately 7,000 metres to 5,800 metres. Network cabling was reduced from an estimated 650 metres to 380 metres.
Transducer selection for noisy areas
After measuring noise levels reaching 112 dB at the transducer positions, a minimum transducer output of 120 dB was set as a selection requirement. This criterion guided equipment selection to overcome ambient noise in the louder areas.
Placement shaped by site conditions
Coverage simulations guided transducer placement. Working with the facilities team, supports reduced mounting height in the main hall from 22 metres to approximately 12 metres. This brought transducers closer to listening areas and supported more suitable coverage.
One operator, role-based access
Persian panels were designed for general users, network users and network administrators. Each role received appropriate controls, enabling an operator to manage the system from network-accessible locations.
ON-SITE ENGINEERING
Precision within a complex structure
Placement simulations, revised cable routes and mounting supports brought design decisions into the working factory.

Control for day-to-day operation
Ease of operation was central to the design. Custom Persian panels give one operator access to zone control, content playback, volume adjustment and crisis-announcement scenarios. Control is available from network-connected locations, with functions assigned according to each user’s role.

Reliability proven in operation
After approximately six months of continuous work, the factory’s diverse spaces were brought into one integrated audio system. Transducers suited to each area, scheduled playback and Persian control panels support daily music across three shifts while providing the operator with paging and announcement controls.
